THT Assembly \u2013 Professional Through-Hole Assembly<\/strong><\/h2>\n

We perform professional THT assembly<\/b> (through-hole technology) strictly according to customer specifications, ensuring full ESD protection for both workstations and personnel. Our machinery fleet includes a wide range of component forming and cutting equipment, which guarantees high repeatability in component preparation and efficient handling of even large-volume projects with consistent execution quality.<\/p>\n

Following SMT assembly, completed PCB assemblies are routed to over a dozen specialized THT assembly stations. Depending on project specifications, the soldering process is conducted either manually or via automated wave soldering. All work is carried out in accordance with international IPC-A-610<\/a> standards. Our team carefully analyzes every detail of the technical documentation, ensuring top-tier manufacturing quality and reliability.<\/p>\n

Component Preparation and Lead Forming<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Before THT components are placed on the PCB, they undergo a precise preparation process in our facility. Using specialized equipment, we form (pre-bend) and trim the component leads. The leads are cut exactly to size, ensuring they extend perfectly through the PCB. This guarantees a correct and uniform mounting height, proper component orientation, and ideal conditions for a durable, clean solder joint.<\/p>\n

Manual THT Component Soldering<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Due to size, unusual shapes, or thermal sensitivity, not all components can undergo automated wave soldering. In such cases, we perform precise hand soldering for THT components. Our workstations are equipped with modern soldering stations featuring digital temperature control and fume extraction systems, allowing for safe, aesthetic soldering of connectors, transformers, displays, and other non-standard components.<\/p>\n

Automated Wave Soldering<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Wave soldering guarantees maximum production efficiency and repeatable solder joint quality. However, automated THT assembly<\/b> via wave soldering requires an appropriately designed PCB (Design for Manufacturing \u2013 DFM). Incorrect component placement, insufficient spacing, or improper trace layout can lead to process errors, short circuits, and, in extreme cases, thermal damage to the board.<\/p>\n

At EL-MONT, we thoroughly analyze every project prior to wave soldering. Constant pot temperature control, precise flux dosing, and the use of certified lead-free (RoHS) or leaded solders ensure durable, defect-free solder connections.<\/p>\n

As part of our comprehensive services, we also offer firmware flashing and full functional testing of final products. This ensures the delivery of 100% operational, pre-programmed devices ready for immediate use.<\/p>\n
